Katrina Coots Obituary
Katrina Nicole “Trina” Coots, 26, of Middlesboro, went to her eternal rest on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. She was born July 5, 1991 in Lexington, KY, the daughter of the Gregory James “Jamie” Coots and Linda Smith Coots who survives.
Trina loved attending church and was well known for her musical and vocal talents which she used to the fullest to glorify God. She had worked at Walmart for several years.
She is survived by the following members of her family: Mother: Linda Smith Coots of Middlesboro, KY Grandfather: Gregory Coots of Middlesboro, KY
Grandmother: Athalene Smith of Middlesboro, KY Brother: Cody (Brittany) Coots of Middlesboro, KY Very special niece and nephew: Sydney Coots and Sawyer Coots both of Middlesboro, KY
2 Special Brothers: Andrew (Shelby) Hamlin and Shelby Nolan Very Special Survivors include her entire church family and her Walmart Family. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 4, at the Creech Funeral Home.
At the request of the Coots Family, Funeral services and interment will be private.

I first saw Katrina on her Family's show Snake Salvation. And being a drummer for my church I always thought it would be nice to one day visit her church and see if they would let me sit in on a few songs. She was such a blessing to see her play and sing. Taken from this world way to soon. RIP see you and your daddy on the other side RIP my sister in Christ.

I didn't know Trina, nor am I even from her part of the United States, but I stumbled upon these "unique" and very musical Church goer's on YouTube one day and been a sort of fan ever since. I'm not even the religious type, I'm just a Musician/Guitarist who plays along with them very often. Trina was indeed a totally awesome Singer/Musician. I'm not from her "world", yet I feel her great loss all the time. Kinda weird, I just sayin'?

Don't even know where to start Sissy. I want to let Sis. Linda, Bro. Cody, Brittany, Sawyer, Sidney and Bro. Gregg know we r so very sorry for the loss of their precious Trina. Sister Linda & Brother Cody. I am so very saddened by this. I know you both may not see this. Or may not ever read this. But I remember you all so well from coming to church with Mamaw Lizzie Taylor uncle bill and my mama Joyce. We use to come over after church and eat dinner. And all of us kids would have our own little church service there. We'd argue and fight and then play some more. I had just seen Trina not long ago. At Walmart in middlesboro. She knew who I was without me even having to refresh her memory. She was a Beautiful person inside & out. God sure had his reasoning although we may never understand. I know you all have faced alot. Especially losing Brother Jamie'. But She is at rest. And Soon She'll reach that Beautiful shore. Were you will be reunited with them again. I love you all. And I know that words can't fix the broken pieces. Or take away the pain or grief. But The Lord can and he will comfort you in this time of need. R.i.p sweet Trina.

Linda, I am so sorry to hear about Trina passing. When I heard the news I felt as if a rug had been pulled out from underneath me. I just seen Trina a week ago she hugged me and told me that she loved me and missed me. We had made plans to get together and go to dinner. I am so sorry for your loss.
