Kay FREELAND

Kay was my supervisor at Life University in 2005. I just happened to be looking her up on-line and I am saddened to learn that she has passed away. Kay was a great, wonderful spirit. I pray that she is resting in paradise. I also pray for her family and loved ones.

For Kay, my beautiful wife, as I think back over the time I was able to care for you when you needed it most:

I felt the burden of being your arms and legs,
But I was willing and able.
We were one and I was able to share your touch and your smile.
I felt the burden magnify as I applied
More and more of myself to fill your additional needs.
I was still more than willing, but now barely sufficient.
I then learned the burden of what I could not do was heavier still.
I did not fully realize the blessing I had been given
Until you closed your eyes and needed me no more.
The burden of your absence, I find, is the heaviest of all.

I'm so thankful that I knew Kay; I'm thankful she was a part of my life. She was my friend, and I cared greatly for her. My prayer is that your sweet memories of her will comfort you when you find yourself missing her. I'll be thinking of you all.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

So sorry to hear of Kay's passing. My deepest condolences to her family. She is missed by so many of us at Life University. She was a sweet lady & a dear friend. Have known Kay for almost 13 years now. I have really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful family pictures. Than you for sharing them.
