I still miss Dr. Jolly's presence in my life. She will always be there in spirit I know. I could use her wisdom at this point in my life. Kathy

Dr. Jolly was my friend, my mentor, my boss and my inspiration to be a more educated individual. I always looked up to Dr. Jolly. She made me realize that if I wanted to do something in life, I had to actually begin the steps myself and not wait on someone to start the process for me. She held my hand, watched me cry and listened to me complain during our years together. Never once did she judge me for the mistakes I made. She just said, "Well, at least you tried". If I learned one thing, I learned a million from watching Dr. Jolly's example and listening to her soft-spoken words. Her motto was, "You can attract more bees with honey than with vinegar." She had to constantly remind me of this but she never lost patience with me. Before she retired we joked that she would get a teaching job in Alabama or Tennessee and I would drive her to class and back every day. That would have been fun and just imagine all the knowledge I would have acquired. I miss her more than words could ever say.

Kay was my life long friend, we played together when we were little kids, we dated together, went to school together, worked together. She then became my boss this is wonderful having your best friend as your boss. She always treated everyone the same. She had respect for each one of us always encouraging us to further our education and set goals within our reach. If you needed anything in your personal life that she could make better to make working easier for you she did that and more. When I was having trouble with my knees I told her I guessed I would have to stop wearing hills and wear tennis shoes, most other people would have said, I guess you won't be working here! "She said sometimes we have to wear things we don't want to, too be able to walk. You will have to wear whatever makes you comfortable to wear. She was a wonderful friend, I never heard her speak evil of anyone and no gossip about anyone. I have heard if you have one friend in life you consider yourself blessed, well I was sure blessed with a wonderful friend and a great boss.

Dr. Jolly was always extremely friendly, very helpful, and a true professional in every way. I truly enjoyed working with her when Union University held classes at the WIN JOB Center in Corinth, MS where she worked. Dr. Jolly will be missed by hundreds of people that she influenced each day.
