Kay McClellan

Kay McClellan, a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, died Tuesday September 12, 2017 at the age of 91, surrounded by her family.
Kay was a woman of great faith and held God at the center of her life. She was an active member of St. Josephs Catholic Church and sent her children to Catholic School. She cherished her family and children, and passed her gift of faith to them. Kay adored all of her grand and great-grandchildren. She never met a stranger and went out of her way to offer friendship, help and love to anyone in need.
She was a full-time mother and she held several retail jobs in the community. Kay was a friendly person and loved all of her customers. She was a lead cashier for Safeway in the 50's and later moved to similar positions at Tadlock Grocery and Northside Market. She was very passionate about her work selling for Watkins and Fuller Brush companies for more than 40 years.
Kathryn Marie Bruehl was born in Norman, Oklahoma to Carl and Emma Bruehl on September 18, 1925. She was the youngest of 19 children born into the family.
She is survived by her children, Joyce Gornall and husband Don, of Carrollton, TX, Patricia Foster of Lafayette, LA, Karen Schaefers and husband Bob, of Garland, TX, John McClellan and wife Stacy, of OKC, OK, Bart McClellan and Mitch McClellan of Norman, OK, and Clint McClellan of Ardmore, OK; 12 grandchildren, Wendy Hoggard, Vicki Omberg, Samuel Foster, Zachary Foster, Dane Rodgers, Justin Palmer, Kiley Scott, Taylor McClellan, Cole McClellan, Michael McClellan, Morgan McClellan and Markus McClellan and 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Emma Bruehl, husbands Clarence Hershel Block and John Ambrose McClellan and 18 brothers and sisters.
A viewing will be held at 6pm followed by a wake at 7pm on Friday, September 15th at Primrose Funeral Service in Norman, OK. The funeral mass will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Norman, OK at 10am, Saturday September 16th.
