Kaye Collins Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 18, 2025.
Kaye S. Collins, a dedicated nurse and longtime resident of Hudson and Twinsburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, surrounded by her two daughters and four beloved grandchildren.

Kaye is survived by her brother, Toby Sampson, and his wife, Lisa; her sister, Paula Peden, and her husband, Terry. She is also survived by her daughters, Stephanie Collins and Meredith Llerena, and her grandchildren: Andrew, Katherine, Lauren, and Sarah Llerena. In addition, she leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Born on August 19, 1947, in Thomasville, Georgia, Kaye was the daughter of LTC Paul L. Sampson and Katherine T. Sampson. She pursued a life of service as a registered nurse, devoting her career to emergency medicine. Over the years, Kaye worked as a Life Flight nurse, ambulance driver, and emergency room nurse, where she deeply impacted many people's lives.

Beyond her professional calling, Kaye was a woman of deep faith. She found joy in attending church and was passionate about mission work, participating in numerous trips to serve those in need both locally and abroad.

Kaye will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of care, kindness, and unwavering strength will live on in the many lives she impacted.

A memorial service will be held on October 2, 2025, at 11:00 am at Hudson Congregational Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association. In honor of Kingsley, Kaye's loyal companion, donations may also be made to your local animal shelter.

To Kaye´s family, I worked with her in the ER and life flight, and I knew if she was there, the work load would be less and the laughter would be abundant! I am so grateful to have known her! Love to you all! Mary Ann and Johnny cope
