Kaylynn Kolesar Obituary
Kaylynn was born in Fort Knox, Ky., on Sept. 29, 1988, the daughter of Joseph L. Kolesar and Helen K. Kolesar. She attended Towanda Area High School and following high school was employed by Papa V's Restaurant, Hurley's Supermarket and The Daily Review in Towanda. She was later employed by Walmart in St. Marys and Sayre, Pa., Futures Inc. in Towanda and at the time of her passing was working with Adecco at E.I. DuPont in Towanda. Kaylynn was a volunteer with the Family Center in Towanda.
"Roo" as she was known by her family and friends loved people, music, driving and spending time with her Aunt April.
She is survived by: her beloved son, Gavin Lee Kolesar; mother, Helen K. Kolesar of Towanda; father, Joseph L. Kolesar and his fiancé Leah Shefcyk of St. Marys, Pa.; sisters, Jessica L. Kolesar of St. Marys, Pa., Gabrielle D. Casselbury of Towanda; brothers, Tyler T. Kolesar and Skeeter M. Kolesar both of Towanda; paternal great-grandmother, Victoria Kolesar of Duryea, Pa.; step-grandfather, Bruce Thall of New Albany, Pa.; great aunt, Beverly Lamphere, of Monroeton, Pa.; numerous aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was recently preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Doris M. Kolesar on Oct. 14, 2010; paternal grandfather, John Kolesar on Sept. 3, 1998; maternal grandparents, James Barr in 1971 and Margaret Lamphere in 1988; and Uncle, John Kolesar Jr. in 1990.
The funeral and committal service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, Pa., with the Rev. Linda Rogers officiating. Interment will be private in the Towner Hill Cemetery, Rome Twp., Pa. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday evening and from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Gavin Lee Kolesar Continuing Education Fund in care of M&T Bank, RR1 Towanda, PA 18848 in Kaylynn's memory.

To Kaylynn's Family...Everyday since Kaylynns passing, I continue to think of her daily. Kaylynn and Gavin were a special blessing in my life for almost 2 years. I had the pleasure of visiting with her every other week and helping her be the best mommy she could be to Gavin. I will always cherish our special visits together and hold those memories so close to my heart. May you find comfort through Gavin and consider him a blessing each and every day.

Gavin and family....I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Kaylynn, but not a day has gone by that I have not thought of her and her beautiful son. I keep him in my thoughts and prayers now and forever. I only spent 45 minutes with him but in just that short peiod of time he has touched my heart. May he be the joy that brings your whole family through this rough time!!!! Take Care of him and keep Kaylynn's memory alive for him.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Its the hardest thing losing and child (speaking through expirence), sister asnd mother. Kmow that my thoughts and prayers are with you in the worst time of your life. We were good friends in school. I will never forget those studyhalls we shared! hahaha. Just remember there is a piece of her left in the eyes of her son. Cherish him and tell him often how much his mommy loved him. Don't be afraid to cry, be sad and even be mad. It is all ok. You will get through this. I'm so sorry for your loss, and I will miss her greatly. I will never forget Kaylynn and her spark for life, and that "take no crap" attitude. She's the only one I knew that could put my husband in his place in 5 seconds flat. I will miss those sayings on the back windshield, passing her on the street, sitting around the table playing cards and talking, and having her so generously sharing the love of her life, Gavin with me. I love ya Kaylynn.. and your memory will live on.

To the Kolesar family we are truly sorry for the loss of Kaylynn. We will miss her beyond words. Her effervescent personality lit up the room and she made so many people smile even on the worst of days. She shone brilliantly and and Gavin put the sparkle in her eyes. May she rest peacefully now.
