Dear Jasmine & family, I was truly blessed to know Keith. I had the honour to work with him for many years at Vanier as a co -conciliator for the prevention of sexual harassment. I will be forever thankful for his wisdom, respect, kindness, and humour.

Bruce and I wish to express our sorrow and offer our condolences to Jasmine and all of Keith's family and friends. Keith was my esteemed colleague as well as friend to us as to so many. He prized his beloved wife and family first but was a dedicated, witty and admired teacher. Within his classroom, his department and the broader community, as a founding father Keith shaped the Vanier environment. Whatever the venue, Keith listened respectfully to disparate views, then responded with informed and thoughtful opinions delivered with courtesy and tact and the occasional leaven of humour. He was a man compleat, and we will miss him though always through the filter of fond memories.

Dear Jasmine
It is a real privilege to count Keith as a dear friend. He befriended me when I first started work at Vanier College and he reached out to make me feel welcome. His gentle dignity, forthright nature and principled logic made him unforgettable. He was so well trusted and respected that he was chosen to be one of the first, if not Vanier's first sexual harassment conciliator. My fondest memories are of the good times and the jokes he shared. As a teacher he was a tremendous story teller and humour was key to getting his message across.
I have missed him these many years since he retired from teaching and I am sure he has left a large void in your life with his passing. My condolences to you and all the family.
Hamba kahle old friend.

My deepest condolences to the family. My heart will always have fond memories of my time with Mr. Barrett at Vanier College. He made time to explain and discuss the class content outside of class time, he was patient and an excellent English literature professor. I will always remember the surprise I had when he showed up at my surprise graduation get together. Rest in peace Mr. Barrett, I know that you are in a good place. I will miss out little chats.
