Keith and I spent many creative hours together in the Toronto Star newsroom. He knew a good story and he sure as hell knew how to display it. But the fun of the man came walking with him down Walton Street in Port Hope. He rhymed off every font on the storefronts. When I told him those fonts were carefully policed to keep the heritage district authentic, he looked at me in amazement. "There's nothing authentic or heritage about them my friend. Most date from the 1940s and 1950s. Why, I met the guy who designed that one." God bless you pal. You skrwer pretension.

Keith was a true original in both thought and deed. I remember fondly when he came to Dallas and then Austin for the SND World Congress. Yes, he took hundreds of photos and shot tons of video. But what fun we had as he prowled the streets of Dallas and Austin taking full-size rubbings of manhole covers with large sheets of paper and soft pointed charcoal. Laughing the whole time. And of course I cherish his wonderful Birthday cards. God speed dear friend!

It was such a joy to be part of the creative process with Keith. I did graphic work for him when he was the art director at both the Toronto Star and Chatelaine Magazine.

I will always treasure the memories I have of the time we spent together in London and Egypt. As a human being and a designer, he was one of a kind and a gifted force to be reckoned with. My sincerest condolences to Suzanne and family.

Sorry to hear this. A great guy. We shared happy memories of when we were in London 1966/67 along with Bert Bell and Barry Zaid. I first met Keith when worked together on the Canadian Weekend Magazine. He was an amazing designer and topographer. Few were as good as he was, and even fewer now.

This is so sad, so much life and energy in such short time. He was a generous soul.

A wonerfully joyous and thoughtful man.... our newly found friend of just 8 years but seems a lifetime... Keith had that effect on one. Wevmiss him terribly. God Bless.

My sincere condolences. Although I left Canada in 1989 and most recently have been living in Australia, Keith and Suzanne were great friends during my life in Toronto. I so admired the love and enormous respect they had for each other. Having dinner at their home was always a culinary adventure for me. I’m so sad for Suzanne but I’m sure she and Keith will keep their love alive through eternity. I treasure the gift they made for me many many years ago.
