Keith Gibby

Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Keith Owen Gibby, 79, of Wittmann, AZ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 26 March 2025, surrounded by his loving family.



He was born September 2, 1945 in Ogden, Utah, the middle son of Ralph Farnsworth Gibby and LouCeil Emma Butler Gibby.

Keith graduated from Weber High School in 1963, and married his high school sweetheart, Annette Poorte on October 30, 1964 in Huntsville, Utah. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary after renewing their vows on their Golden Anniversary in a unique football love/hate party. The long-told dating story was created when mom ordered more than dad could afford because she missed the "or" in, "would you like a coke or something?"



Keith served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He worked an aircraft sheet metal worker for Hill AFB until he became a contract specialist, negotiating the highest awarded civilian contract at that time. He retired from civil service with over 30 years and he lived in and travelled Europe with his family.



Keith especially loved building campfires and sitting around them joking of his experiences, motorcycle riding, fishing, boating, and camping. He could fix anything that was broken, often learning as he went. He was wise and was often sought out for his opinions or his knowledge. He was a patient teacher and an innovative thinker.

Remaining to cherish Keith's memory are his wife Annette; 2 daughters, Angee (Crys) Moyer of Saginaw, TX, and Brandee (Greg) Whinnie of Myrtle Beach, SC; 3 grandsons, Corbin (Kelli) Moyer, Conner (Alyssa) Moyer, Taylor Moyer, and 1 granddaughter Justice Manning; 3 great grandchildren Mason, Lily and Lexi Moyer, Also surviving are six siblings, Carol Lord; Robert (Jean) Gibby; Paul (Julie) Gibby; Beth (John) Sever; John (Shauna) Gibby; Mark (Linda) Gibby; and sister-in-law, Lael Gibby. Brothers- and sisters-in-laws and camping partners: Alan (Lynda) Poorte; Julie (Dave) Carter, and Dean (Darla) Poorte.

Preceding Keith in death are parents Ralph and LouCeil Gibby, brothers, Donald Gibby and Douglas Gibby.

Keith was the recipient of cornea transplants in both eyes, TWICE. He and his family were very appreciative of the gift of sight and ask that, if you feel called, to consider organ donation. He was also able to donate as his last wish.

A private celebration of life will be held this Saturday, 28 March 2025.
