Keith Eugene Hunnicutt

Keith Eugene Hunnicutt, age 66, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Union General Hospital in Blairsville, Georgia. Keith was born on April 15, 1957 to the late Felder "Bill" and Francis (Nicholson) Hunnicutt in Hiawassee.

He was known by many different names, “Keith”, “Dad”, “P-Paw”, and “Homer”. There was never a dull moment when Keith was around. He was a comedian and a jokester. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He especially loved searching for arrowheads, digging for ramps, and hunting for ginseng. He was also a collector of knives. Teaching the younger generations about the outdoors was a favorite hobby of his. Keith was a headstrong man with a very big heart for others. His daughters recall him as someone who could fix anything; whether it be a vehicle, a household item or something that was “broken” to others. He always put his own twist on his inventions and creations as he was an engineer by trade. His career took him to Alaska, where his love for the outdoors flourished. Yet, after many adventures, the North Georgia mountains called him home.

 He is preceded in death by his parents Felder "Bill" Hunnicutt and Francis Nicholson Hunnicutt; brothers-in-law Bud Graham and Nelson Chastain. Keith leaves behind his daughters Alexandria Kramer, Adrienne Hunnicutt, Misty Ekeberg; grandsons Kohen and Carson Kramer; sisters Patricia Graham and Jacqueline Chastain; brothers and sisters-in-law Terry and Stella Hunnicutt, Ricky and Deborah Hunnicutt, and his partner, Kathy Dover. He also has a number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.
