My sincere condolences to the LeBlanc family. I am very saddened by his passing and it is hard to fathom. I had been aware and a fan of his many music productions over the years and connected through our mutual friends, music producers Adrian Sherwood and Skip McDonald and built a friendship around this connection. I always enjoyed our long conversations about life, music and society. I was later honored to work with Keith and his group Tackhead on a few recent recordings and appreciated his support of my efforts....by telling me what a "great job" I did on them. This meant the world to me coming from such a master. In my role as a university professor for the Department of Popular Culture at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, I brought Keith to campus last spring where he shared stories about his life and times in music to the students and to the public who were in awe....it was amazing to host him and build a friendship with him. In our many talks he consistently commented on the love that he had for his wife and family. I was shocked to hear of his passing and am saddened by it. He made an impact on many and I am grateful to have known him and honored to have been able to work with him.
