Keith Larry Minty

Keith Larry Minty, 90, of Roseburg, Oregon, passed away on December 8, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Keith was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. He was a devout follower of Christianity and served for many years as a deacon in his church as well as singing in the choir for many years. Keith was very fond of literature and poetry, and was the author of many wonderful poems. He was a thoughtful man who enjoyed conversation with his friends and family, and he will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Keith is survived by his daughter, Karen Doucet, and his sons, Ronald Minty and Gary Minty. His grandchildren, Rhonda Minty,Joshua Minty(predeceased),Ryan Doucet,Chris Doucet,Rebecca Minty,Mathew Minty,Shayla Minty and Kylee Minty.

He was predeceased by his parents Vivian and JR Minty his brother Vernon sister Donna and his loving wife Mary after almost 70 years of marriage.

Keith served with distinction in the US Airforce for over 20 years, retiring with the rank of Master sergeant. He was employed in the Airforce as an office machine repairman, he also was trained to repair and service reconnaissance film cameras,in addition he trained and became an xray technologist at the end of his career in the Airforce. After his honorable discharge, Keith was recruited by Taylor Knudsen and Lumm (Desert Radiologists) to be the Chief Financial Officer for the organization. Keith also served on the Executive Board of the Southern Baptist State Association and was President of the Southern Baptist State Association and President of the local Gideon Camps. He was inducted into the Nevada State Barbers Hall of Fame for his contributions to their organization.

Keith worshipped at Nellis Baptist Church, where he found spiritual solace and community. He enjoyed writing poetry and reading literature in his free time, immersing himself in the beauty of words and stories.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Keith at Nellis Baptist Church on January 19, 2024.
