Keith Watt Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 27, 2008.
WATT, Keith April 30, 1932 - April 24, 2008 With great sadness, we announce the death of our dearly-loved husband, father and Poppa, Keith Watt, of Edmonton on April 24, 2008, at the age of 75 years. Keith is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Viola, children (Cindy Watt of Sherwood Park, AB; Kevin (Colleen) Watt of Busby, AB; and Lynelle Watt of Sherwood Park, AB), and his grandchildren, the lights of his life (Adam and Evan Cursiter; Jillayne and Blair Haug; and Hayley Watt). Keith was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Peggy Watt. Born in Moose Jaw, SK, Keith was a life-long employee of British American Oil, Gulf Oil, and PetroCanada, transferring to Edmonton in 1971 with Gulf Oil. His everlasting commitment to family, friends and community was his hallmark and is his legacy. A Celebration of Keith's life will be held at Ottewell United Church, 6611-93A Avenue, Edmonton AB, on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Sally Boyle officiating. The family expresses their appreciation for the compassionate care given Keith by staff at the Jubilee Lodge, Lynnwood Extended Care and Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. Memorial donations in Keith's name may be made directly to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories (ASANT), 10531 Kingsway Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5H 4K1 (1-866-950-5465). HI Vi and family. I had the pleasure to have worked at the Edmonton Refinery with Keith for several years. He was always pleasant and was great to talk to whether his help was needed or to have a casual conversation. My condolensces to you.

Hello Vi and family
Ken and I would like to offer our condolences. We have such good memories of our friendship with your family and the trips we made back and forth from Edmonton to Moose jaw with Keith when we first moved with the plant. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Robert, our son, is attending the service, as we are not able to and we will be thinking of you.

Love Ken and Carolyn McKenzie and family

Dear Vi
Sorry to hear about Keith. Life is a series of memories and thirty some years ago Kevin and I created all kinds of memories that still last today. I’m sure Keith has a big smile on his face thinking of those times.

Dear Viola, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. I think of Keith and can picture the twinkle in his eyes and his warm smile. He truly was a "paragon of virtue" as he would frequently remind me. The fond memories you have will be with you forever and truly they will help you through this. Love,

Phyllis & Eli Nikiforuk
