BEAVERCREEK - Kelly Heath Boyd, age 29, of Pensacola, FL tragically passed away April 7, 2022 while hiking in the Russell Wildlife Management area in Habersham County, Georgia.
Kelly was born on August 28, 1992 in Maryville, MO to Melissa Thompson who survives along with his stepfather Jeff Thompson, sisters Dakota Thompson and Stacey (Kevin) Harrison, nieces Kayley Blair and Payton Harrison, nephews Wesley Harrison and Lucas Harrison, his beloved Grandmother Patricia MacDowell, grandparents Tom and Rosie Kuss, cousins that were more like siblings Shelbi (Donnie) Franz, Chace Troyer, Braydon Boyd, Bryce Boyd, and Elizabeth MacDowell, younger cousins Shae Stoner, Greyson Horsley, Connor Bocook, and Lillie Bocook, Aunts and Uncles Scott Thompson, Arlene (Randy) Horsley, Dawn (Tommy) Bocook, Heath (Mel) Boyd, Heather (Mark) Roberts, and Wendi (Jason) Arnold as well as many other family and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his Pop Pop Richard MacDowell, Great-Grandmother Juanita Thompson, Grandfather Lewis H. Thompson, and Uncles Wayne Thompson and Rick Thompson.
Kelly is a 2010 graduate of Triad High School and proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps where a lifelong brotherhood was formed. Kelly was one of the most humorous, thoughtful, and selfless people around. The remarkable energy he carried could reach the moon. Kelly loved with all he had and never met a stranger. His smile could brighten your day and melt your heart and his laughter is one that will never be forgotten. Kelly's presence was a bright ray of light that instantly filled the room with warmth. But now all that remains is his golden footprint on all of our hearts. We all adored him and though it's hard to picture our lives without him, we will continue to love him by giving others the same love and kindness he offered us…all from the broken places in our hearts where his spirit will live on.
The family is welcoming all friends and family who have experienced Kelly's enthusiastic love and personality to a Celebration of Life service which will be held on Saturday April 16, 2022 at 6 p.m. at Beavercreek Event Center, 1585 Grange Hall Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. In lieu of flowers and because Alzheimer's has significantly affected our family we ask that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation at https://ALZFDN.ORG/SUPPORT-US/DONATE Please make sure to reference email [email protected] on the donation page as the family will be notified of your generosity.

I was devastated to hear of Kelly´s passing. I´m so heart broken for you Melissa. Kelly was like a son to me. He spent so much time with my family when they were stationed at Camp Lejeune. He and Alec did the craziest things, like jumping from the pagoda to the pool. Kelly was always amazing and we adored him. He had such a bond with my youngest kiddo and she is so saddened to hear the news. I´m so happy this is a celebration of his life, he lived it to the fullest.

Melissa and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Kelly's passing. He was one of the most adorable, ornery four year old boys I had the pleasure of spending time with at Cardinal Corner. I still have a Christmas ornament he gave us back in 1996. May your memories give you comfort and peace. Praying for you in the days and weeks to come
