My life has indeed been blessed and enriched in knowing Kelly. As the former Director of Development and Alumnae Affairs at NDA there were many instances where Kelly was the always best volunteer for any event (She had a wonderful role model in her Mom, Kara, who was the "dream volunteer" for any and all events.) Kelly gave her all: on the basketball or tennis courts, in her leading roles as class officer, or just being present in her daily life. Her positive attitude was inspiring. She never gave up. We all now have our own "angel" in heaven.

To family and friends of Kelly my deepest sympathy and condolences. Kelly seemed like an awesome, loving person who lived life to the full and will truly be missed. May your warm memories of good times shared and your love of Kelly remain n your hearts.

I last saw Kelly in May at the NDA Medallion Ceremony. She was holding her
precious Daniel and beaming with pride and mother love. I am saddened that he will grow up without her loving kindness.

I remember Kelly as loving, exuberant, kind, supportive, always with a smile on her face and so full of energy that it was catching. Though she was never my student, I could not help but appreciate everything she contributed to the school culture. The commencement speech she delivered a few years before I retired was a reflection of who she was: spiritual, interesting, positive, delightful.

Our world is truly a darker place since Kelly's "shining light" has gone out.

There just aren't enough positive adjectives to describe Kelly as I remember her. She was always positive every situation. But I guess the thing I will recall most about Kelly is her creativity. When she was a freshman in our Hebrew Scriptures course, I gave the class an assignment where they had to present a particular sequential time in Hebrew history. Kelly was assigned Moses at the Burning Bush. On her presentation day. I had to stop myself from laughing out loud when she and her partner portrayed their scene in a parody of a current (at that time) rap song! They had cleverly changed the words to reflect the scene and its significance. It was memorable and all Kelly! She will be forever remembered for her courage, determination, and spirit. She was a kind and gracious soul. Though her life was brief, she touched many and we are all the better for having known her. Kara, Dan and Mary Kate thank you for sharing her with the world and know that you will be in my prayers as you continue your life journey without Kelly's presence but with the full knowledge that she will forever by in the many hearts of all she encountered as well as your own.
