Doing Gods work, heaven sent, heart of gold and amazing soul are some words and phases that people often described Kelly Melissa Oko (McAllister).

Kelly passed away in Globe, Arizona on Sunday August 17th 2025.

Kelly completed her nursing credentials in 1995 and touched thousands of lives with her commitment to her patients and the community she was serving.

Kelly wasn't just a marvelous nurse, she was a traveler, wanderer, lover of any body of water, explorer and lover of the outdoors. She truly had a zest for life and all that it had to offer. Kelly was also a devoted daughter, loving sister and fierce mother.

Kelly was born in Nashua, NH on October the third in 1972 to a Raymond McAllister and Arlene (Knight) Tierney. Both parents have passed on, however, it's worth conveying Kelly's selflessness and devotion of taking care of others. She was able to fully commit herself to the care giving of both her parents when they reached the end of their earthly lives.

Kelly had five siblings, Kristen McAllister, Kathy McAllister, Micheal Tierney, Randi McAllister and Johnna Herrick-Phelps. Although Kathy has passed on a few years prior to Kelly, and most of Kelly's family members are in different states around the country, all siblings have great love for each other.

Kelly is survived by her three children, Ashley McAllister, Emylee Oko and Ryan Oko. She also is survived by a beautiful granddaughter named Elena. Her love for her kids and granddaughter were evident in her day to day life and that love never faulted.

Kelly was truly an influential being and inspiring to all that knew her. Whether it was for a brief moment or for decades, people knew her kindness, compassion and resilience just by her presence. She was an extraordinary human being, friend, daughter, sister and mother.

The world seems less; seems not as bright without her. Heaven is glowing brighter though.
