Kelly Marie Ruggerio

Kelly Marie Ruggerio, born on April 28, 1967, in Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, in Centerville, Maryland. Kelly was a cherished member of her community and beloved for her vibrant personality and generous spirit.

Kelly attended William Paca Elementary School followed by Patterson High School, both in Baltimore. Her career was marked by a diverse range of roles, from waitressing to her most recent position as a Head Start bus aide, where she was adored by both colleagues and the children she served.

An avid cook and traveler, Kelly also enjoyed playing pool, hunting, and most importantly, spending quality time with her family. Her hobbies reflected her adventurous spirit and her love for life.

Kelly is survived by her sons, Chance Simon and Preston Ruggerio; daughter, Brianna (Gabby) Ruggerio; adopted daughter, Bella Murphy; granddaughters, Jasmine, Natalie, and Jocelyn; brother, Robert Ruggerio; parents, Pauline and Salvatore Ruggerio; and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Petra Simon, and uncle, Robert Simon.

A service to celebrate Kelly's life will be held on August 23, 2024, from 1 pm to 3 pm at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro, Maryland. The family invites all who knew Kelly to join in remembering her life and contributions to her community. Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home is assisting the family during this time.
