Kelvin Koehler

Age 89, of Dryden, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to the LaVigne Home for Compassionate Care, 4085 Lapeer Road, Burton, Michigan. Kelvin Koehler was born on June 5, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest and Ruth (Clark) Koehler. Kelvin attended high school in Detroit. Upon graduation, Kelvin joined the workforce by working as a machinist at various shops. Additionally, he worked as a Stereotyper for the Detroit Free Press for over 20 years. He would be united in marriage with Ruth and be blessed with four beautiful children, to whom he cherished deeply. Upon his separation with Ruth, Kelvin met his longtime partner, Shirley. In his free time, Kelvin enjoyed golfing, watching various sports, and spending time outdoors, especially when it came to fishing, hunting, and swimming. Left to cherish his memory is his longtime partner of 35 years: Shirley Wentworth; his four children: Cheryl and husband, Richard Jurgess, Dawn and husband, Ken Siggett, Keith and wife, Jennifer Koehler, Cindy Strich; his grandchildren: Lisa and husband, Sean Stockmeyer, Lauren and husband, Stephen Brusie, Whitney and husband, Jordan Lemmer, Amber Koehler; his great-grandchildren: Julie, Reyna, Gracie, Elizabeth, Wilmot, John, Margaret, Stephen, Bernadette, Maria, Andrea, Kirby; his sister-in-law: Nina; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Kelvin was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Ruth Koehler; and his brother: Ken Koehler.
