Ken Barr was an outstanding next door neighbor. He was always pleasant and cheerful!! I loved seeing him sitting out front in the sun reading murder mysteries. I remember years ago how he would walk to the park with his dog every morning. I loved talking to Stacey, his daughter, when she visited. Sue Woodmansee

Wow, Ken fit a lot of life into his 93 years! Ken loved his family and they loved him back - the best honor ever! They say people remember how others make them feel - Ken made people feel special by treating them with kindness and respect. He will remain a great example for all who knew him!

Stacey, you did an amazing job caring for your dad at a distance. Your love for him has been shown in so many ways. My heart felt sympathy goes out to you and your family. You have lots of memories to hold dear to your heart. I so enjoyed getting to know Ken. We shared many afternoons eating his favorite, carrot cake and watermelon. I will miss my visits with him.

I was a care giver for Ken when he was around 90 years young. What a joyful experience! We got along so well .He was just a delight to be around. So kind!! Very easy going & he had a radiant smile. He liked to watch the TCM channel. He always had a stash of vitamins and I could prepare him anything to eat and he would eat it graciously, never complained. I would go with him to his office in Lakewood while he seen to some business there and then would drive him to the bank and store afterwards. We both had a background of living on a farm, so we had much to talk about. I had the pleasure of getting to know his daughter Stacey and watch her take of her Daddy with much love & support. She is the Apple of his eye & always will be. He loves his family, grandkids and now thanks be to God he has been reunited with his wife Donna & Breck! He has just moved on to his heavenly abode with Christ . Ken, we will see you "on that glory dawning morning!"

I lived next door to Ken and was always impressed with his warm easy manner. His laugh was infectious and I always felt good after seeing him. He loved to read and I would often see him sitting out front reading. He and I both loved mysteries and would discuss our favorites. I am grateful to have known him.
