I was a student at Auburn University when Ken was there! He was a good friend and I was so interested to learn when he was selected to be an astronaut! I remember when he was to be on Appolo 13 and his exposure to measles prevented his going! What a wonderful ending to that adventure when got those men home safely!

TK was a great mentor to the young NASA engineers. A group of 4 of us got to spend a significant amount of time learning from him when we worked on instrumenting a capsule at Wallops. He kept us all up late telling us stories. I will never forget that experience.

He was a hero who saved the Apollo 13 astronauts from a disaster. He brought the astronauts back to earth safe. My prayers and condolences to his family.
