Ken STRILCHUK

Ken was my dear friend for over 35 years and i sure miss him . One of the great guys you rarely get the opportunity to meet . He was always there for me no matter what ? So many fond memories and good times shared . He is at peace now and will always have a special place in my heart .

Saddened to hear of Ken's passing. He was my neighbour for many years. Always had time for a chat and a smile. My thoughts are with his family.

I'm sorry to hear of Ken's passing. I enjoyed working with him.

In the short time I knew him he was a gentleman. He will be missed. Thank you to him for his Service and to his family for supporting him.

I am so saddened to hear of Ken's passing. It was so great to meet up with him at our 50th High School Reunion in Round Hill last May. My sincere condolences go out to all his family.

I had the privilege of working with Ken when I first started with the Edmonton Fire Department.He was a very kind and generous person ,well respected among the men and officers.My condolences to all his family and friends.

I had the privilege of working with Ken at #9 and #2 and it was indeed a privilege to work with a fire fighter so conscientious. He was thoughtful and caring off the job as well and kept in touch with me over the years. A good friend and taken far too soon. I will miss him.

Ken was a true gentleman and friend of more than 40 years. So sad to hear of his sudden passing. Deepest sympathy to his family.

Although I never had the opportunity to work with him, I have been told how well respected Ken was on the Fire Department for his leadership and how he cared for the people that he worked with.

We want to give your family time to grieve your loss but if you could please mark Sunday Sept 11th 2016 on your calendar, as that will be the day of our Annual Remembrance Ceremony.
It will be the day that we remember all those members that we have lost in the past year.
It is also a very special ceremony as we have the family members of those members involved in the event itself.
It gives us all a chance to say goodbye and it helps with the closure as well.

If I could have a family member to contact me at 780-619-1564 or at [email protected] then I can get back to them and we can talk about arrangements for this years ceremony.

Sorry to hear of Kens passing.
When the talk went around the fire stations about who was a good
all around firefighter and officer who led by example Ken Strlchuks always came up.

Ken was a gentleman, got to know him on the job and from curling.. one of the good guys.. He wont be forgotton.. condolences to the family.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. He was my close friend for many years and we were going to meet for coffee next week, wish I had of made the time. He was the kindest man I know; always there to listen or lend a hand. I will miss him.

I had the privilege of working with Ken at a few different fire Stations. Always thought highly of him as he was easy to work with and treated everybody the same.

I worked with Ken at #22 firehall during difficult times for the Fire Dept. Ken stuck to his principals. He was easy to work with and to talk to. Our condolences to his family.

Ken was a leader on the shift at #9 Station when I first joined the Fire Service, and led by example. Throughout our careers and times enjoyed in the outdoors, he remained a man whose principles were ones to be followed. I will always remember and try to live up to your example.

A great guy! 3Platoon had a great crew at old Number 9 (Bonnie Doon) for several years, and Ken was an integral part of many great memories:)) He was passionate about his job and also knew how to have fun:)
