Kenneth ADUM

ADUM, Kenneth Eugene 74, of Tampa, FL, went to be with the Lord on April 21, 2021, after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. Ken, born July 2, 1946, in New York City, NY, graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1964; five years later he met the love of his life, Linda Jane Houdelette. They celebrated their milestone 50th wedding anniversary in November 2020. After earning a master's degree from University of South Florida, he enjoyed a 37 year career in education with Hillsborough County Public Schools where he left his mark as teacher, principal, and Area Director. In retirement, Ken enjoyed serving his church and community, traveling, woodworking, Christmas decorating, and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife, Linda Houdelette Adum; three children, Amie Adum Simmons-MacLauchlan (Marc), Tampa, Allison Adum Schaer (Mike), Wesley Chapel, and Anthony Cail Adum (Shelby), Land O' Lakes; six grandchildren, Sherwin Simmons, III, Cail Simmons, Kennedy Schaer, Rylee Schaer, Hugh Adum, and Emilia Jane Adum arriving May 2021; brothers, Lawrence Adum and Robert Adum, Plant City, Anthony Adum, Bradenton; sister, Gina Adum Duvall, Anna Maria; and loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Olive Adum and brother, Ronald Adum. A service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, May 8, 2021, at St. James United Methodist Church, 16202 Bruce B.
