ANDERLINI _ Kenneth Robert Born September 11, 1962 in Langley, B.C., Ken died peacefully at home on the family dairy farm in Aldergrove on April 16, 2007. From the beginning of his life, Ken's first love was to learn. He was a graduate of U.B.C. with a B.A. in History. He completed a Masters degree in Film at S.F.U. and taught in the Fine Arts Department there for many years. At the time of his death, Ken was in the last year of completing a PhD. in Art History at U.B.C. Ken was a published author and well respected scholar who touched many lives teaching art history at Douglas College, Emily Carr, UVic. and U.B.C. as well as at S.F.U. For the past decade, he spent much of his Summers working for the Vancouver International Film Festival. Ken was also a devoted fan of the Jersey cow and remained closely involved in the breeding of the registered cattle at his family's farm, Valtallina Jerseys. He had an extensive knowledge of the history of Jerseys in Canada and could recite a cow's pedigree for many generations. He also enjoyed organic horticulture, growing his own vegetables and fruit as well as carefully developing a beautiful flower garden as a lasting legacy. Ken was a lover of all living things and remained deeply committed to human and animal rights throughout his life. Ken is survived and will be tremendously missed by his mother, Sara, father and step-mother, Robert and Sue, sister and brother-in-law, Boni and Frank Datema, brother, Dustin, sister Tia and nieces, Katelyn and Alexis Datema. He is also survived by his Grandmother Margareta Wedel and many aunts, uncles and cousins. As well, he will be greatly missed by his constant companion and dog, Sam. The family wishes to thank those who helped care for Ken in VGH, G.F.Strong and at home. There will be no service by Ken's request but those wishing to honour his memory are asked to make donations to The Canadian Red Cross Society.

To Ken's Friends, Family and Community: Please accept my sincere condolences. I have not seen Ken for a long-time but I remember him as a class-mate who consistently left me gob-struck by the quality and the clarity of his thoughts. Ken was a critical thinker in a different league.
I am devastated that he has died.
