Ken Bayer was an Uncle-in-law, so to speak. Our Aunt was his sister-in-law. And although we mainly only saw him on holidays, like Thanksgiving and Christmas, I remember him as a gregarious bear of a man who laughed a lot. We'll miss you "Uncle" Kenny.

I got to know Ken Bayer because I often celebrate the morning daily Mass at Our Lady of life Apartments where Ken spent the last few years of his life. Ofen Ken would be the lector and when he read I thought I was listening to Bishop Fulton J .Sheen. Ken's voice was so loud, distinct and convincing! Even when he could no longer stand at the lectern he continued to read from his wheelchair with his voice no less strong!

The Bayer family has had a special place in my heart since the first time I cared for Grace. My prayers are with you as you say goodbye to Ken. I have to work late so probably won't get to the wake. God bless all of you, Sr. Mary Jane

As part of Papa Bayer's "extended family" in Lawrenceville, GA, we send our deepest sympathy to his family. We have such fond memories of him and time spent together. We were so thankful for the years of friendship with him and thru him we felt a continued connection with our favorite priest, Fr. Ken. We can only imagine the rejoicing in Heaven when Papa Bayer arrived and was greeted by his family already there. Please know all of the Bayer's will remain in our thoughts and prayers....God bless,
Tom and Arlene

Ken Bayer was absolutely the best uncle a nephew could possibly ask for. When he and the Bayer family visited Louisiana, fun was always to be had by all and the Belton family was always sorry to see them head back to St. Louis. He will be very much missed by the entire Belton family.

Mr. Bayer was a pillar of church and community. The finest family man that there ever was. He was active also with the Boy Scouts of Our Lady of Sorrows. I don't know where he found the time but also played Santa Claus at Famous Barr during the Christmas Season. RIP
