Kenneth Chappelear, 84, of Galloway, passed away on November 15, 2017 due to illness. He was born in Morgan County on September 5, 1933 to the late Leslie O. and Bernice (Beard). He was the owner and operator of J.C. Tire Co. in Galloway for 34 1/2 years that closed in 2009. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. He loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Preceded in death also by his son Glenn, daughter Karen Fisher, grandson John Davis III, daughter-in-law Pam, sisters Marie Stemm, Maxine Campbell and Bertha Mae Van Hoose. He is survived by wife of 66 years, Arlene (Engel); sons, Keith and Robert; grandsons, Keith Jr. (Tina) of Columbus and Tim Davis of Plain City; brother, Floyd (Judy); granddaughter, Stephanie(Dave) Greathouse; several great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive loved ones on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the HOPE & HEART FUNERALHOME by SCHOEDINGER, 3030 W. Im so sorry hearing this tragic news.

He was the best grandfather anybody could ever ask for. He made sure that I had the opportunity to experience things and go to places that I will always remember. Rest In Peace grandpa. I love you and thank you for everything youve ever done for me.

He was a great neighbor that was full of life and stories. It was always fun to hear about his big elk hunts or the fish that got away. We will miss him greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
