Kenneth L. Cook Jr., aged 63, passed away on July 20, 2024, in Middletown, New York. Born in Kingston, NY, Ken was known for his vibrant, creative spirit and a profound dedication to his family and numerous hobbies.

Ken's passion for life was evident in everything he did. He was an avid traveler, exploring the United States extensively with his wife, Patricia. His love for woodworking resulted in many cherished gifts for those he loved, and his garden was a testament to his patience and skill. Photography was another joy, capturing moments from the many vacations he meticulously planned and enjoyed with his family.

A true family man, Ken is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Cook; daughter, Lynden Cook (Eric Wood); son, Matthew Cook; mother, Mary Cook; and sister, Lisa Tears (Michael Tears). He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth L. Cook Sr.

Ken's ability to transform his home and yard seasonally, especially at Christmas, brought joy to many. His homemade Christmas cookies and beautifully lit decorations were the highlights of the holiday season.

A Celebration of Life will be planned by the family in the future. Ken's arrangements are being handled by Loucks Funeral Home, Ellenville, New York. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ken's memory to the American Cancer Society or your local animal rescue, causes close to his heart. Ken's legacy of love, creativity, and adventure will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew him.

I first met Ken at work. He was a manager who worked with his team and led by example. He would show how to do a task and explain keys to success. We became friends and then he joined the family when he married my sister, Pat. He became a cherished brother in law who was generous and loved vacations. His talents and creativity are also a great memory. Ken´s knowledge of history added meaning to trips. His photo montages were always poignant and maintained memories.
