Kenneth COZICAR Obituary
July 26, 1954 – February 2, 2013
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ken Cozicar of Langley, BC; formerly of Rocky Mountain House, AB
Ken loved well, was truly loved by those who knew him and left us all entirely too soon.
Born in Milk River, Ken spent most of his youth in Vilna before calling Rocky Mountain House his home. If you ever camped, hunted or went fishing, chances are you stopped in to Ram River Sports where Ken offered not only the "special never fail lure", but a coffee and a chat as well. You usually left with more than you needed but you never regretted a purchase or time spent talking.
Ken is survived by Dianne, his wife of 37 years; daughters Stacey (Mike) Ripley of Rocky Mountain House and Jennifer of Calgary and three grandchildren; Shawnelle, Kendra and Thomas. Also survived by mother Margery Cozicar of Ardrossan, four brothers and two sisters, Glen (Wendy) Cozicar of Vilna, Ruby (Spencer) Hughes of Ardrossan, Charlene (Steve) Rachynski of Bonnyville, Rick (Laura) Cozicar of Calgary, Lawrence (Shannon) Cozicar of Surrey, BC and Bryon Cozicar of Surrey, BC; 23 nieces and nephews; 18 great- nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law Sandy (Chris) Lagaden of Chilliwack BC and Charlene (Owen) Dixon of Edmonton; as well as numerous cousins and friends.
Ken was predeceased by his father Ralph Cozicar and one niece, Stephanie.
A Celebration of Ken's life will be held at the First Christian Reform Church located 1 km south of Rocky Mountain House on Highway 11 on February 9, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. with burial at Quiet Nook Cemetery in Hamlin, AB at a later date.
Memorial donations in Ken's memory can be made to Laurel Place Hospice in Surrey, BC.

Ken Cozicar, who passed away Feb 2, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer, will be laid to rest on July 27, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Quiet Nook Cemetery south of Vilna, AB. There will be a celebration of Ken's life following the short graveside service; anyone wishing to attend is welcome, camping space is available. Ken was so kind. Lots of fun to be around. I am reminded of him everytime I hear CCR's "I See a Bad Moon Risin'". My condolences to his family.

Dear Dianne, Stacey and Jennifer and family
Glen and I were so saddened to hear of Ken's passing. We have so many beautiful memories.... our fun-filled school days, the camping trips we shared together, our visits sharing stories and having a few laughs. Ken was such a wonderful person from the first day we met him, he enjoyed socializing and was always there to lend a helping hand. We are so saddened to learn of Ken's passing. We both have memories of Ken being a kind and gentle person who never put himself above others. He was so easy to be around, always fun and light hearted. We will always remember his Tom Jones impersonations.
