Kenneth George Obituary
Kenneth L. George, 77, of Wind Gap, passed away, Friday, March 31, 2023 at his residence.
Born in Palmerton, October 6, 1945, he was the son of the late Kenneth W. and Helen (Borger) George.
First, Ken is a Christian, a good husband, and a great provider. He had three children, Wendee Cali, Wanda Stackhouse, wife of Todd Stackhouse and Kristopher George, husband of Denise George. He had five grandchildren, Bradley Stackhouse, William Stackhouse, Emily Cali, Josh Stoll and Rachel Stoll.
He was mayor of Wind Gap for 12 years and on Wind Gap Town Council for 11 years. In his life here, he worked at Collins & Aikman in Pen Argyl for about 5 years. He worked at Bethlehem Steel for 29 years as a high voltage electrician. He then worked at Hoffman La Roche, now DSM Nutritional Supplements, in Belvidere, NJ for 25 years.
He loved to hunt and fish, but especially hunting. He hunted in Montana, Hawaii and South Africa (3 times). He also loved to travel and he visited 17 countries in his lifetime.
Working was another passion and vowed he would never retire. Of course, he never did – he just changed locations!
Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 11 AM at House On The Rock Family Church, 1336 Jacobsburg Road, Wind Gap. There will be viewing hours, Tuesday, beginning at 6 PM until 8 PM at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl, and Wednesday beginning at 10 AM until 10:45 AM at the church. Interment will be in Gilbert Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered in Kenneth's name to House On The Rock Family Church, 1336 Jacobsburg Road, Wind Gap, PA 18091.

Kenny, was one of greatest person I ever known.We worked together at Bethlehem steel . He was very knowledgeable in the electrical field,he also helped me in my personal life at times.I will always

Ken was a terrific person who was dedicated to his job and to the emergency response team at the DSM site in Belvidere. He was poised and professional in every interaction I ever had with him. Ken was always willing to share his wisdom with me about his career or about raising a family, and I enjoyed hearing stories of his hunting trips to Africa. A great teammate. I'll miss Ken. Peace to Ken's family and friends in this difficult time.
