Our thoughts are with you and your family at this time Ursula. Ken touched all that met him, as he touched my life when I worked with him at the Computer Centre in the late 60ies and 70ies. Periodically, we would cross paths - usually on Albert Street where Ken waited at the bus stop with a huge cigar in his mouth!! We would share stories of the “old days and discuss the whereabouts and happenings of former colleagues. We discussed our families and spoke with pride about our children. Ken, I will think of you always as I pass “our bus stop on Albert Street. Ken, was an amazing man, one who knew how to live a balanced life. He was a hard working, dependable guy that knew how to have fun at the same time. He inspired and impressed us all and knowing him has enriched all our lives.

Dear Ursula and Family
I am so sorry for your loss. I was quite shocked to hear of Ken's passing.
When I heard I was taken back to the first time I met Ken. I was a junior programmer with ISM and contracted to Finance with Ken, Chris and Roxanne. I remember Ken's mainframe computer (OLLIE) giving him trouble. Sometimes the cursor would be over in the right hand corner and all you would hear is "Space, Space" and than Ken saying; "I know its a space but where the heck are you". Once you told him where his cursor was, he'd than say "What the heck are you doing over there. I didn't tell you to go there."
He was an amazing man and the knowledge he had of COBOL programs was unbelievable. He could tell me exactly where my problem was without even looking at the code. I am really going to miss him.

Dear Ursula, Devon, Robynn, Shane and Reed,
I am so sorry to hear about Ken's death. Although I haven't had the opportunity to see you for many years, Ken was such a kind person that your family is one I remember well, even as a child. I am so very sorry to hear that he is gone -- you are certainly in my prayers this day. May the legacy of love and care that he has left you be with you and bless you always. Love never ends.
With my deepest sympathy,

I worked with Ken at the System Centre - which now seems like a lifetime ago. But, the memories of Ken, and the rest of the crew, will last me a lifetime.
All of us will have a "Ken Hack" story. Mine is one day when Ken showed up with his cane all bent, trying to fix it. Apparently a bus ran over it as he was crossing Albert street.
One more . . . We were at a stag for one of the guys and Ken was complaining about the montreal hockey games being in french. So, I said "why not do like I do and just turn off the sound?" He was that natural to be around.
It was very sad for me to hear of the passing of Ken. Clearly, he was one of the good ones. Always a treat to see Ken. . . and to have a yak.
Best wishes to all.
