Our beloved Ken went to be with his Savior in Heaven on June 1, 2011. He lived in Whitehouse
for 11 years and in the Tyler area for 59 years. Ken was born in Harrisville, Mississippi on
September 25, 1931. He was 79 years old at his death. Ken died after a long illness, and was
surrounded by his loving family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents
Morris and Lucile Harper and his brother Guy Harper. Ken is survived by his wife Sara and his
daughter Candi Thibodeaux and son Larry Harper and his sister Billye Halbouty. Also by his
grandchildren Melissa Estrada, Kenny Harper, Dalton Thibodeaux, Alan Thibodeaux and Greg
Thibodeaux. His nieces Joy Erfurdt and Shyrrel Stevens. Ken is also survived by his great
grandchildren and his stepsons, Tony Dodson, Stephen Dodson and Kirk Dodson and their
families.

Ken was an active member of Pollard United Methodist Church in Tyler and involved in the
Epworth class there. The family is very grateful for the support of his many close friends at
Pollard. Ken loved God and served Him faithfully. He also loved his church and was a faithful
member. He worked for the Whitehouse School District and retired in 1996.

Inurnment will be at a later date at Rose Hill Mausoleum. The memorial service celebrating
Ken's life will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Pollard United Methodist Church at 10:00 A.M.
with a reception following the service at the church.
