Kenneth Dale Ireland

Dale provided me with stability during a turbulent time. He taught me a new word, "surly," which he used to describe my attitude as a pre-teen. With this and a number of other things, he predicted that I would later realize his wisdom. He was right on many counts, and he truly enjoyed kids and family. I still own and use the circular saw he gave me for Christmas 1971. He was a good man, and my son Conrad and I played a round of golf yesterday at Hillcrest in his memory. Unfortunately, the Grill is closed. So, we could not have a hamburger and a Manhattan (or two) to make our memorial official. Celebrate Dale's long and productive life.
