Dear Dr. Johnson and Becky:

It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of your father. I was at Gift of Life last week when the news was shared. It was with fondness remembering the celebration when "senior" was so specially honored at an earlier event. The sparkle in his eye and that ever present smile was there ... the special gifts he share over all the years I was honored to work with him will remain with me.

Regards,

Dear Johnson Family,

You do not know me...but I must share with you how Dr. Ken touched

our lives.

My father Winston Kimball Larson was

cared for by Dr Ken...he had kidney

problems at a very young age...early

40's...Dr Ken saw to it he was treated by the best...Dr. DeBakey in

Houston, TX in 1962...with one of the early arterial transplants...it

gave my father almost 10 more years of life...enough that he saw his

4 children married and some of his

grandchildren born...for this we are

eternally grateful.

Even after my dad died in Jan 1971..I saw Dr. Ken for a health problem...his compassion touched me so..he realized how much I missed my father...it was a very special

moment for me to know how much he cared. he was a very special person...May God be with you all.
