KENNETH AHEONA AHEONG KAOPUIKI

Kenneth Aheona Aheong Ka'op?iki, 74, of L?na'i City, HI passed away peacefully on March 09, 2023, surrounded by his ohana and loved ones. Kenneth or "Papa" grew up on L?na'i in the small town he loved. He worked as a police officer for 25 years then as a security officer at the L?na'i Airport. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, talking story and spending time with his grandchildren. Kenneth was born to Joseph Aheong (deceased) and Winona Maioho Morita on May 17, 1948. He was adopted at a young age by Harry Kapena Ka'op?iki (deceased). Kenneth is survived by Lynette Ka'op?iki (wife), Wendy (Alan Paul Amby) Ka'op?iki, Dustin (Andrea) Ka'op?iki (children); Ynez "Pewee" Acain, Jonona Alconcel, Joey Morita, Macky (Elsie) Morita (siblings); Alan Kainalu Ka'op?iki Amby, Kayci Ka'op?iki, Brian Ka'op?iki, Peyton Ka'op?iki (grandchildren); along with many extended ohana. A celebration of life will be held in his honor on May 27, 2023 at the L?na'i Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Services will begin at 10:00am, followed by a gathering and lunch at the L?na'i Filipino Clubhouse.
