I can remember Ken Kelsy with great reverence, I can remember him and my father Leonard Stotz telling stories to us at summer camp every year that I attended which was many. Ken was a great leader and supporter of JFW and touched thousands of young people lives in ways they may never know, remember or understand, but I can assure you, it was in a very good way. I will fondly remember Mr Ken Kelsy and much that I learned at his feet, I can even remember the password for the tribal type meeting at the end of camp, after over 40 years.

During my association with the JFW program 1978-1991, Ken was an enduring force and passionate supporter of the program both Nationally & Provincially who, with others like him, helped guide the program's expansion from coast to coast. To Ken: Happy Trails. You made a difference and will be missed.

I had heard Ken's name mentioned many times with great respect by other JFW members and looked forward to meeting this awe inspiring man with great anticipation. I was incredulous to learn that I would have the priveledge of working along side Ken on the Emergerncy Response Team at National Camp in Oyama. He was truly a gentleman with great patience and passion for sharing and passing on his knowledge. Although my time spent in Ken's presence may have been all too brief, he left a lasting impression that inspires me to this day and will to do so for the rest of my life. Thank you Ken. You will be missed, but fondly remembered.

Hats off to Ken Kelsey! There is no way to measure the impact Ken had on children through out Canada during his lifetime; but you can view the results if you visit Evans Lake or a Junior Forest Wardens club and I can find it evidenced in myself and friends. Ken was active with JFW from the time he was nine years old until he retired as Chief Warden of Canada in 2000. This year JFW celebrated 80 years of programs educating youth about our Forests, Wildlife and Natural Heritage, In part, due to the efforts of Ken.
Keep your hand out of the bight old timer!

It is with great sympathy we share the loss of such a wonderful and kind man in Ken Kelsey. A past Chief Warden of Canada and lifelong supporter of our Junior Forest Warden program, Ken's history and perspective will be sorely missed.
I have fond memories of sitting at the foot of one of our "Great Fathers" as a young warden and listening to stories of his and our history, that he told with such great passion and reverence.
May this be just another step in the journey Ken, and warm yourself by the campfire with our other friends that have passed on.
To the friends and family of Ken Kelsey, you have our deepest sympathy.

My first introduction to Ken was in 1965 at a Junior Forest Warden Camp (Evans Lake). If I remember correctly he awarded me my first 1 mile swim badge.Ken was a good friend, story teller, financial advisor and an avid supporter of the Junior Forest Wardens. You will be missed Ken.
