Both Brenda and I was very sad to hear of the passing of your brother hec. He will be missed by many people with whom he touched during his full life.

sorry about your loss. I knew his mother and father and Judy well, many years ago I rented a room in their home on Florence and was treated in a wonderful way. Judy would probably remember me well,,Brenda Johnson (Pattison)

My cousin Norm Said told me that Hec was living on borrowed time. It would have been great to say goodbye one last time in person. I first met him in the 1940's, when we all lived on Gladstone & Kent St. A truly gifted athlete in all sports.

I was very sorry to hear of "Hectors'" struggle throughout his illness.
He was definitely a character, with sports skills that are legend amongst his team mates and opponents alike, and had that dry humour and laugh that was his.
Our condolences to his grieving family.

I will have fond memories of enjoying a good cigar with Hec at the 'The Sports Club' over a 'couple' of beers, while swapping lines from the Bogart classic Casablanca.

I knew Ken for a short time as a room mate at the Civic this past July. I will miss our conversations. My sympathy to his wife and family

I met Kenneth (Hec) at the Ottawa Courthouse. He introduced me to the Ottawa Nepean Canadians Sports Club. Hec was a pleasure to know and his love of the "oldies" was legendary.
A true gentleman, it is an honor to list him as a great friend.

At this time of loss we can console ourselves by remembering that Hec and “Uncle Kenny” will be reunited.

Hector was a special man with a wonderful outlook on life. He enhanced the lives of those around him and will be greatly missed.

It is with much sadness that I read about the passing of my old friend Hec. Hec and I grew up together on Gladstone Avenue in the 40's and 50's. We spent many an evening at the Ottawa Boys' Club on Laurier Avenue. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Although you have lost a husband and father, memories are good to get yourselves through this.
We have fond memories of Hector and lots of laughs. He is gone but will never be forgotton. Our prayers and thoughts are with you both at this time and always.

Jeanette & Jason: I am indeed sorry to read this morning while in Florida of Ken's (Hec)passing. I recall with great memories his efforts on my behalf during the election campaigns, and over and above that at various sport events.
