My deep sympathy to Ellen and family. I have been Ken and Ellen's gardener in Roberts Creek for 15 years. I have the utmost gratitude to have known Ken, and to have been at his service in his beautiful garden for all these years. He has always been kind and generous to me and my family. A wonderful man; he will be missed very much.

Ken and Ellen were the best next door neighbours anyone could have. He was a real gentleman and have not met anyone more courteous or respectful to talk to than Ken. My sympathies to Ellen and the family. Ken was a special person and will be missed. Ron Markey

Ken and I attended Kitsilano High School. We weren't buddies but everybody knew of Ken. He was well liked. The school Annual entry was: "KENNETH R MAHON:
Ken takes an active part in sports,
operettas, and music around Kits.
Future -- Chartered Accountant."

Many years after graduation our paths crossed again when I was in politics.
His support of many community organizations
was and continues to be much appreciated.
He will be missed.

I remember the days as students at Winspear Stevenson Doane and our working trips to the Cariboo and the Okanagan. Together we were known as the Fying Squad. Ken was a valued friend and contemporary. He will sadly be missed by all of us. My condolences to the family.

Although I never met Ken personally, I was the fund-raising chairman for the Sunshine Coast Community Orchestra Association when I contacted him about a possible donation to our organization from the Andrew Mahon Foundation. Thus followed a very generous donation annually which will always be very much appreciated and for which we are extremely thankful. My very sincere condolences to his family.
