When some folks pass on, missing them is particularly rough. Ken is one of those rare ones. He was my go-to guy, the one who would put a big smile on my face just by showing up with a few sweet words to make my day, set me right again. I'll always be grateful to my true "bff" Dorene for marrying this darling man. He was so full of love for his Dorene and for his family. He felt, to me, like the ultimate protector of those he loved. He was a real person. A maverick, one of the true Americans who also loved his country. Ken was a lucky man. Dorene and every one of his wonderful family loved him greatly and with great care. I'll miss you buddy. There aren't too many in this world who can make me feel as special as you did. May God lift you up in his mighty arms and always let us continue to feel and share the special kind of grace you gave this world. Rest, my brother, my friend.

When I was Chief of Police in Bisbee, Ken always had time to visit when I would see him on the streets of Bisbee. He was a great man and will be greatly
missed!

Mac will always have a special place in my heart. He was like a member of the family and I can't imagine not being able to contact him. He was truly loved by a lot of people and will be missed by many. All my love and prayers to you Doreen, and all the family. Love you Mac.

Kenneth was a great cousin. He loved his Aunt Jonny, our mom, and she loved him. I am glad mom moved back to Bisbee years ago as it allowed us to spend some more time around Kenneth and Dorene. A great McElyea this man was. Thoughts and prayers to his loved ones.

Ken and I go back so many years, all with wonderful memories. Used to love to dance and guess the last time we did was at the last reunion we were at in Tucson with Glen, Wally & Bill Nowlin. We have lost so many wonderful friends and classmates. My deepest condolences to Doreen and all your terrific family. I enjoyed his updates on Facebook. Ken was so close to you all and I can only imagine your grief. If there will be a service, we would love to come and pay respects.
