I only just saw the sad news of Kens passing. I worked closely with him for most of his years with Environment Canada before his retirement, and always appreciated his outstanding professionalism, knowledge, and dedication. My sincere condolences to his family.

Ken was my CO for one year in VX-10 before the squadron was amalgamated with AETE and moved to Cold Lake in 1970. He was a fine officer, a leader, a gentleman. My condolences to the family.

Dear Meikles:
I was saddened to learn about Ken's passing and offer my sincere sympathy to the family. Ken was a very welcome friend since the early days of Shearwater. As a neighbour in Dartmouth in the mid 50's and later as the CO of VX-10 Sqdn. As a mentor and great source of help and Guidance to me. I will remember him.

To the Meikle Family. My deepest sympathy to you all. I remember many wonderful memories on Grenfell and dropping over to our neighbour's across the street. Mr. Meikle as I would call him, always had a smile on his face. I smile to this day when I drive down Grenfell and all the good times we had as kids. Remember the wonderful times to get you through the sad days. Love Nancy Blackburn

Meikle Family
I only knew Ken for about 5 years skiing at Camp Fortune and breakfast Tuesdays at Dintys. Never an unkind or harsh word about a single person, ( the odd snowboard maybe) a true gentleman. Will miss your stories about the old ski patrol days as well as the torsional attributes of shaped skis.
Our condolences to the Meikle family

So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I have lots of good memories of your family at Skootamata and Lake Banook. Ken lived life to the fullest and you were lucky to have had him with you as long as you did. Thinking of you all at this time.

To the Meikle Family,
Please accept our most sincere condolences with the passing of your Dad. Our memories of happy days living at Shearwater a long time ago remain vivid and we so enjoyed getting to know your Mom and Dad and your whole family. Your Dad was my boss as Commanding Officer of VX-10 and was a highly respected leader. His enthusiasm for life was infectious and we were all benefactors of his warm smile and guiding hand.
Sincerely,
Gail and Larry Ashley

Eric, Wendy, Brooke and Kane,
Please accept my condolences on the passing of your Father/Grandfather Ken. It sound like he lived a very full and exciting life. He had the opportunity to serve his country proudly, and enjoy many years doing the things he loved. I'm sure the fact that he lived such a full life will help ease the pain of his passing. Thinking of you during this difficult time.
