All of us at Sister Pie are mourning the loss of Gerald. Back in 2014, we started picking up maple syrup from him at the Royal Oak Farmer's Market to make our beloved Salted Maple pies. In more recent years, Gerald would deliver 30 gallons right to our door. We were always delighted to see him and have a little chat while he unloaded the maple and we carried it into ingredient storage. It's hard to imagine a kinder person. Thank you, Gerald, for all your hard work and commitment to Sister Pie over the years. We will continue to use your syrup for years to come, but we will sorely miss seeing your face upon delivery. We send our love and thoughts to your family.

I’m so glad my mom and I had the opportunity to sit and chat with Gerald this past October after my dad passed. I hadn’t seen him but once since we graduated. I am fortunate to have had that chance to tell him that I had always thought of him as such a nice guy in school. He has farmed my parents acreage for years and he treated them very well. Gone to soon. Rest well, Gerald. You will be missed.

I’m soooo sorry for your family’s loss!!! Gerald was always the gentle soul! Knowing him all these years was my pleasure. And to know he was our neighbor and plowing out my dads drive way was so appreciative!!! I just seen him early November driving on his quad runner with his Grandson, going up the road. He’s definitely going to be missed!!!

My deepest sympathy to his family. I am so very sorry for your loss.
Gerald and I became friends back in high school. Gerald was a genuine, honest sincere man and true to life.
Even though our lives pulled us down separate paths, back in 2008, I had a chance to catch up with Gerald. It was so nice seeing him and we picked up right from where we left off back in high school.
At this time, Gerald helped me with a big event for Ford Motor Company, by supplying me with Maple Syrup to use as gifts for several of the executives that were attending the event. The gifts were well received and the event was a grand success.
May he rest in peace. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.
