While I've not had the honor of knowing Mr. Peterson, I do know Avery and was inspired after hearing the words of his dear friends, family, service brothers, parishioners, and church leaders. The Bishop gave thanks and honor to his "service" and reminded of his "legacy". Even though I didn't know Mr. Peterson, his life gives me hope. And no where is the legacy of his service and commitment to family more evident than in his children. I am indeed honored to know Avery Peterson and can see his legacy shining through her. Avery, may your dear father rest in peace and carry on through you and yours. With deepest respect, Angela

Mr. Peterson I only knew you for a short while but it was a pleasure getting to know you and your family. I pray God strengthen your family, friends, and loved ones as they grieve your transition. To be absent from the body is to be present with Christ.

To my beloved "son's" family, my heart is also broken at the lost of my play son. We had a special bond between us. It started way back lived in Oakland, CA when he lived with Pete and Teddy. We became close and then when he came to Camp Pendelton he would come and spend weekends with me and my kids when we lived in Compton. I started calling him my son and he called me his mom. I have a hole in my heart that cannot be replaced. My children, Shontel and Joberto are also broken hearted because of this lost. Love to Avery, Little Kenny and Philip I love you guys very much and I want you to know that I loved your dad very much.

"I'm in shock over the sudden loss of your father and want to extend my condolences Avery and lil Kenneth. Your father was highly respected and deeply loved by all who knew him. His presence and influence in the community will be greatly missed." "Losing a parent leaves an empty place in your heart, (and y’all have loss both) but God in his mercy offers comfort with the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Death is something inevitable. When a man has done what he considers his duty to his people and his country, he can rest in peace. I believe he made that effort, and that is, therefore, why he will sleep for eternity. You will be missed forever and always. The beautiful moments you shared with us will always speak of the great person that you were. Rest in peace up in heaven Uncle Kenneth! Love you,
Vanilla
