KENNETH EVERETT SWEETSER Died peacefully at home, surrounded by his four daughters on July 13th, 2002. Kenneth was born in Mendocino, California on May 11, 1913. He was the brother of the late Clifford Sweetser. He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Margery F. Kenneth was the adored Father of Kathleen Anne (Conrad) Branson of Alameda; Barbara Jo (David) Tishler of San Rafeal; Mary Elizabeth (Robert) Bjork of Castro Valley; and Karen Margery (Buck) Kohles of Oakland. Loving grandpa to Belinda (Christopher), Conrad K., Christopher, Colin (Ari), Richard, Andrew, Charles, Ryan, Karyn, Taylor and Cameron. Proud Great-Grandpa of Colby, Jacob, and Callie. Also leaves two nephews, Larry and James Sweetser. Kenneth graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 1938. He was proud of his military service in WWII as a Lt. Cmdr, in the US Naval Reserve. He was the owner of Protex Wax Products, Inc., in Oakland. Kenneth wanted everyone to know that he had a great life. His favorite times were spent with his family, who appreciated his humor, gentle disposition, kindness, craftsmanship and generosity. Kenneth died after a short bout with Melanoma of the brain. He was 10 months shy of his 90th birthday. He will be greatly missed. Visitation from 4-9pm with a vigil at 7pm on July 17, at Coopers Mortuary, 1580 Fruitvale Ave., Oakland. Private funeral services will be held.
