Kenneth Albert Wolf

Kenneth Albert Wolf, 86 of Rosemount, passed away October 13, 2024, from complications of acute appendicitis, contributing to respiratory failure. Ken was born in Joliet, IL. and grew up in Eau Claire, WI. He graduated in 1956 from Regis High School, Eau Claire, WI and in 1960 from the College of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN. Upon graduation, Ken worked for Control Data Corporation for 28 years and owned Pizza USA with his wife Mary for several years in Savage, MN. Ken served on the Burnsville City Council from 1983-1993 and in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1993-2003. He then worked in the Dept. of Commerce and the Public Utilities Commission for 5 years before retiring in 2007 at the age of 69. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles Joseph and Hedwig (Kuehni) Wolf; his wife of 52 years, Mary Susan (Gilbertson) Wolf and brother Charles Robert Wolf. He is survived by his brother Donald Arthur Wolf and sister Mary (Wolf) Farrell; children Ken, Mike (Miguel Garriga) and Susan (Mike) Burns; grandchildren, Glenn, Casey, Megan, Katelyn, Stephanie (Matt Paro) and Katie.

Ken spent the last year actively enjoying his new home in Queen Creek, AZ. Ken always appreciated healthy political debates on subjects from local elections to climate change. Ken's attention to detail always included the use of a spread sheet.

Ken was known as "Poppie" to his Grandchildren and took immense pleasure on the annually family vacation on Pelican Lake, Breezy Point, MN.

A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of next year in Minnesota.
