Kenneth Young Obituary
He is survived by his wife Sandy Young; children, Brian (Carrie) Young, Blake (Aimee) Young and Andrea (John) Dawkins; granddaughters, Sophia and Lydia; sisters, Sandra Rutter and Kathy Dennis; and his loving dog Lucy. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Laura Jackson.
Funeral service will be 11am Tuesday March 3, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1505 Bethany Lane, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Monday March 2, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Gethsemane Lutheran Church or Parkview Home Health and Hospice.

My sympathy to the entire Young family. My friendship began with Blake and Aimee as (neighbors) they kept a watchful eye on my Grandmother. That friendship developed into a relationship with the entire family at the Greenhouse. God's blessings to all of you at this most difficult time.

I was saddened to learn of Ken's passing. I met him 25 years ago when I came to Fort Wayne to join the Chemistry faculty of IPFW. Over the years I purchased many flowers for my wife. I enjoyed Ken's cheerfulness and his enjoyment of the Greenhouse. I will miss him.

KB will be greatly missed. He gave me my first job, the Young Family is the Best. I still have the stained glass he made for me over 30 years ago, and think of him everytime I look at it.

Ken was my neighbor for 32 years. He was one of the nicest men I have ever met. He helped me in so many ways, getting birds out of my house, taking care of the rabbits my dogs caught and lending a helping hand whenever he could. He always had a smile on his face and kindness in his heart. I will miss him terribly. Rest in peace Ken.
