Still think of you often and all the special memories of when we all were so young and full of fire. I was truly blessed to have met you and Kent and I am a richer person for it. Thanks again for sharing a great ski day at the Bird this year. What a fun day. Let's try to get together this Summer.

Tracy, you've been on my mind this past year. Just hoping you're managing to feel connected to Kent. I remember back when I worked with him at FranklinCovey, all the times he'd talk about you. It was clear to everyone how much he adored you. And when I met you, I knew why. Clearly you two were amazing together. So, I hope you can still feel that love he has for you. Last email exchange I had with Kent, it was about telling him about a little typo on his website. He was always good at lighthearted banter, even in work-related stuff. Instead of being bugged that I pointed out a typo, he wrote "You're awesome." And I wrote back, "Go figure, one of the most awesome people I know called me awesome! Sorry, Budge, I'm never 'not' going to be starstruck by you." I'm glad that in our last lighthearted exchange I told him he had that effect on me. Because he really did. He was just so kind, so real, so fun, so creative, so supportive, and inclusive. He was larger than life for many of us. My heart goes out to you, Tracy, and I hope you continue living as large a life as possible, despite dealing with a kind of heartache I can only imagine.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I knew Kent through Tracy during our working as colleagues in Salt Lake City at Delta Air Lines, and remember distinctly her telling the story of how they met shortly after they did. What a match...so much energy in their love for one another, so much devotion.
It was so much fun creating a wedding shower for them with a friend, and attending their wedding was a dream.
Though I left SLC in 1997, what I remember about Kent the man was his incredible artistic talent, his wicked sense of humor, and how he treasured Tracy and their life together. Always embracing whimsy, how could any of us forget a Halloween get-together of friends at Greenstreet's...and in walk those two decked out as a bottle of ketchup and a fast-food pocket of french fries - all of which Kent had created and handcrafted out of squishy foam and paint. One of the cutest things ever. I remember his going to Franklin Covey and thinking how fortunate they were to have this young man so full of life and gifted artistry. And the stories of his and Tracy's forays on the weekends cross-country skiing so hard Tracy could hardly walk in to work on Monday morning!
So, Tracy and family, and Kent up there - I send my always-missed-you years of love and gratefulness for the memories of your life together.
It's a gift.
Love, Patty

Legacy.com prompted me with the question "What would you like to say about Kent"? I paused for a moment and a thousand memories came to mind. How I met Kent through Bill Moseley which was the start of a great friendship between the three of us. Then later Tracy came into the picture and we were all of and running. Memories such as the memorable "Gasmaster" ski trip to Targhee when the car broke down and they made it home with the aid of "hippie family" and their retro-fitted school bus with faulty brakes. Or the mountain biking trips to Moab. Or camping, skiing and too many numerous experiences to remember. Or how I found a little stray dog one night while I was driving back from Park City and stopped by their house too see if they would want to help find a home for the little fella (later named Watson). Of course they took him in! Having known Kent and Tracy since before they were married, I just want to let the whole world know just how special they both are. I was genuinely blessed to have them as my friends. My only regret is that I hadn't kept in contact with them as I should have, and for that I am truly, truly sorry! Too often we take things for granted. What I would give to see Kent again and experience the magic of his talent and humor. I could go on and on about all those wonderful memories and share them with you but this would turn into a long novel. Just know that I love both Kent and Tracy and remain simply heartbroken. May God keep you both in the palm of his hands. Your friend forever.

I was so thrilled to reconnect with Kent, via Tracy, as I knew Kent in high school but he was a year older. What a treat to get to know him again and to see the amazing person he had become, both as an individual, and as part of a wonderful couple with Tracy. I didnt get to see him often, but whenever I did, we took a walk down memory lane, of all the people in Ogden and of our zany high school experiences. Kent was funny, witty, kind and talented, and I will miss those chats so very much.

My heart goes out to you, Tracy, Biscuit and family. I am sending healing thoughts and prayers your way. May Kents memory be eternal.

I feel so blessed to have known and loved the man. We had a lot of fun together and I was fortunate enough to work with him on some great philanthropic organizations in Park City - where he contributed a lot of energy, time and great ideas. He was always my go-to creative thinker! The world is better because he was in it. Gone too soon. All our love to you Tracy.

While I didn't spend much time in the presence of this talented soul, I sensed his giving heart, his ability to listen with kindness and enjoyed the beauty of his creativity. As Kent did, may we all be fearless in sharing our gifts and our hearts with the world.

Kent, I miss you more than words can say. Above all, your humor will be missed whenever friends are together. Your interest in other people and genuine caring for people, animals and nature made you rise above.

Tracy, my friend since 1983, may you never forget the love you shared, and know that Kent would want you to go on living and enjoying all you enjoyed together...now, for both of you.

The world has lost a great soul

Kent was indeed a creative genius. I was privileged to be able to work under his guidance and honored (and I mean that) to be counted among his friends. The memories are many and I treasure them. My thoughts are with you Tracy and all your family. I send you a big hug and much love.

Kent was an one of the most talented and quick witted people that I have ever known. I have so many cherished memories of friendship and constant laughter. The best of times were with our adorable and mischievous dogs (Watson and Brumley) We shared days of hiking, fly fishing picnicking and laughing. Kent's love for Tracy was enviable. He had a twinkle in his eye whenever he talked about her. Kent will be greatly missed.

Always enjoyed Kents wit and love for a laugh. Whenever I spent time with Kent I always felt a deep depth of kindness and humor in his sole, I do regret not spending more time with Kent. Its a lesson for me to realize life is very brief and stop and value to people you meet.

Kent was a great adventurer with a huge heart and I will sorely miss not sharing future trips with he and Tracy. I will never forget the moment that a monkey dropped out of the trees next to Kent and I, while on a bike/hike trip in Ecuador. We were watching Tracy and my girlfriend run away towards shelter and laughing at them, until the monkey took one look at Kent, wrapped its arms around his leg and bit him, at that point we both started running........ Kent I miss you......
