Kent Lawrence KAROSEN

My memories of Kenyon College are indelibly marked by Kent. He was so compassionate and energetic; and so darned funny! Despite years of absence and miles separating us, I have often remembered Kent fondly. In my formative college years, he was a dear, dear friend. Brian and Valerie, I pray that your many fond memories help bring you a sense of comfort. Heaven just gained a tremendous gentleman and gentle man.

I am a person from Kent's youth. A classmate. A friend. And one that was both amused and impressed by Kent's unique talents being on display those years. Talents combined with his unique character evolving through our younger years. No individual of any age or walk of life was free from Kent's drive.
Decades have passed since those formative times and long since too has Kent been away from my travels and thoughts.
Though absent always a brother locked in time from our youth. Always a brother.
Me along with our other classmates all were enriched and rewarded by Kent's time with us. A link in our chain.
Proud of Kent and his driven nature and from this his contributions and efforts. Many lives are better for having Kent in their lives and many more that never knew Kent but that their lives were so strongly influenced by his drive, desires and his giving of himself.
Kent was blessed and we were blessed because of Kent.
I will forever remember and cherish Kent for those youthful years as you will of Kent in your times of Kent.

I am heartbroken to learn of Kent's untimely passing. I knew him from NYC, Fleet Week, the USCG, the Intrepid, and through 9/11 and its aftermath... I have many fond memories of him. My heart goes out to his family. May his memory be a blessing.

Great, friendly, positive guy I remember fondly from our Kenyon College years. Glad he lived a purposeful and meaningful life, though ended too soon.

I am so very, very sorry to hear of Kent's passing. I will forever, and fondly, remember "spirited" discourse and communion throughout the years our footsteps fell upon the same roadways.
