Dear Cain and Renfroe families, I was a classmate of Keri s @ Wilson. I haven't seen her in years, but always wondered about her. To say I was shocked to hear of her death was an understatement. My heart goes out to each one of you. May god give his undying love during this most difficult time.

I work at UAB West in the ICU. I am sure I had seen Keri from time to time but never knew her personally. Through this illness, I have learned so much about her from your web site as well as friends I work with who knew her. I wish I had known her personally. I feel as I have missed out on a wonderful person. I will continue to think of you and your family and your babies. I pray Gods strength, wisdom, grace and love to you and your family as you travel down a difficult road.

Mr. Cain,
I am truly sorry for your lost. I never knew Mrs. Cain nor have I truly had a conversation with you but I did go to Bottenfield where you were a coach. Therefore I feel for you. She "IS" a beautiful person on the inside and out and my prayers go up to you, your children, and the whole family.

Brantley,
I never had the pleasure of knowing Keri, personally.Though my friend Charlene Lowrey, I heard what a wonderful person and Christian Keri, was. I have been praying for Keri, as well as your family since Charlene, took me about Keri's illness. Charlene, told me a story on Tuesday, about what a giving person Keri was. I was so touched. Charlene, told me that she and her sister Sharon, was at a women's retreat with Keri. Keri, had on a braclet with a cross and Sharon, commented on how she liked the braclet. Keri, took off the braclet and gave it to Sharon. Need I say more.

The Heart
"Tomorrow morning," the surgeon began,
"I'll open up your heart..."
"You'll find Jesus there," the boy
interrupted.
the surgeon looked up, annoyed "I'll
cut your heart open," he continued,
to see how much damage has been
done..."
"but when you open up my heart, you'll
find Jesus in there," said the boy.
The surgeon looked to the parents, who
Sat quietly. "When I see how much
damage has been done, I'll sew your
heart and chest back up, and I'll plan
what to do next."
"But you'll find Jesus in my heart. The
Bible says He lives there. The
hymns all say He lives there. You'll
find Him in my heart."
The surgeon had had enough. "I'll tell
you what I'll find in your heart.
I'll find damaged muscle, low blood
supply, and weakened vessels.
And I'll find out if I can make you well."
"You'll find Jesus there too. He lives
there."
The surgeon left.
The surgeon sat in his office, recording his notes from the surgery,
"...damaged aorta, damaged pulmonary vein, widespread muscle
degeneration.
No hope for transplant, no hope for cure. Therapy:
painkillers and bed rest. Prognosis:
here he paused, "death within one year.."
He stopped the recorder, but there was
more to be said. "Why?" he asked aloud.
"Why did You do this? You've put
him here; You've put him in this pain; and You've cursed him to an
early death. Why?"
The Lord answered and said, "The boy,
my lamb, was not meant for your
flock for long, for he is a part of My
flock, and will forever be.
Here, in My flock, he will feel no pain, and will be comforted as you
cannot imagine.
His parents will one day join him here,
and they will know peace, and
My flock will continue to grow.."
The surgeon's tears were hot, but his
anger was hotter. "You created that
boy, and You created that heart. He'll
be dead in months. Why?"
The Lord answered, "The boy, My lamb,
shall return to My flock, for He has
done his duty: I did not put My lamb
with your flock to lose him, but to retrieve another lost lamb."
The surgeon wept...
The surgeon sat
beside the boy's bed; the boy's
parents sat across from him. The boy awoke and whispered, "Did you cut
open
my heart?"
"Yes," said the surgeon.
"What did you find?" asked the boy.
"I found Jesus there," said the
surgeon.

I have no idea if this story is true but I do know there is a lot of truth in it, I honestly believe God sends one of his when there is a need and In sending Keri
he has accomplished so much. This journey has traveled world wide and everyone’s eyes have been upon you Brantly, instead of walking away defeated you have grown stronger sending a message to everyone that our God is real and will always be there for us, in doing this we have grown stronger also. Please continue what has been set before you and remember we as Christians have ETERNITY.

Mr and Mrs Renfroe and family, I just want to say how sorry I am about Keri and that my prayers are with you at this time. When I lived next door to you when she was younger I remember her as a sweet young girl that liked to come over and play with Joshua when he was just a baby. And from what I have read about her since her illness she grew into a wonderful young woman. Those memories will help you through this. I will continue to pray for your family and wish for comfort for all of you during this time.
