Keri Wilson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 27, 2024.
Keri was born in Danvers on June 12, 1972 the fourth child of Stewart Wilson and the late Kathleen Wilson, she is survived by her son Coleby Wilson, siblings Darlene Wilson of Kneeland California, Norman Wilson & his wife Barbara of Biddeford Maine, Valerie Rheingold & her husband Michael of Haverhill Mass. Nieces & Nephew Kimberly & her husband Matt Colbert, Gerard Wilson and his wife Sunjay, Nissa Wilson and many great nieces & nephews.

As a young woman, Keri had much promise ahead of her. A bright and vibrant spirit, a love of life, a song in her heart, a kind and caring soul. But sadly in her later years Keri's life took a turn taken by many in our country today. A tragic and cautionary American tale, that all too often does not end well.

But a life lived is a series of moments in time and Keri had many good moments, many good times, good friends, a caring and loving family and, it is these moments, and these memories that we will strive to let dominate our thoughts of a life that ended too soon. We will remember the cheerful smile, the welcoming spirit, the gifted artist, the competitive skater, the engaging and caring friend. We will remember the days that there was a shining ray of light that came from the eyes that always seemed to smile, the face that brought good cheer.

The voice now echoes in our mind and dances over the wind, it comes from the shadows and it brings with it a light where shadows fall... we are not happy that Keri is not here but eternally thankful that she was....

And so we carry on, quietly listening to a band playing music of the soul. In silence love speaks to us and though we may not hear its song we feel its warmth and we feel the pain when it is relegated to the intangible world of spirituality.

And so we will choose to be spirited by thoughts that Keri's sky now has brightened, the shadows and darkness have passed, and she is dancing in a better place, riding a wave at the beach, peacefully turning upward to feel the welcoming warmth that the sun in a bright blue sky offers to those who let it.

A life is not a moment in time it is a series of moments. Keri had many good times with friends and family, where there was laughter, happiness, and joy. Keri's life and legacy was a long & winding road that we pray has delivered her to a better place. And for now, we will deeply miss Keri, a mother, a daughter, an aunt, a sister, a friend. Someone who's life mattered. Love you kiddo, until we meet again.....
