With broken hearts we announce that Kerry MacLeod, Jr., also known lovingly by his family as “Baby Kerry”, passed away unexpectedly on December 5, 2022, from complications of Covid 19. Born on November 16, 1970, to Angela Letsos and Kerry MacLeod Sr., Kerry grew up in the Bay Area, surrounded by his extended and diverse family. He eventually settled down in Sebastopol, CA, with his most precious treasures, his wife and soul mate, Danielle and son and light of his life, Connor Chaos. It is undisputed that to know Kerry was to love Kerry; his larger-than-life magnetic energy made him particularly socially gifted and an incredible storyteller, who had the ability to captivate his audience like no other. He was funny, warm, friendly, and brilliant. A super fan of the San Francisco Giants, motorcycles and micro-brews, his knowledge about any of them was second to none. Kerry had had a special ability to engage with anyone and everyone and was always the life of the party. His gentle giant bear hugs enveloped you with his genuine warmth and always felt like home. He cared deeply about his family and friends and never let a moment pass without letting the people in his circle know that he loved them. The first to text on special holidays and occasions, always one to check in and say hello, and the one you knew would attend every gathering he was invited to. Kerry made sure that he showed up for his people. Still unbelievable, we find ourselves grieving for the comfort and safe landing place he provided for all of us. In Kerry’s memory, please continue his legacy of showing up for the ones you love. He would have it no other way.
Kerry is survived by his loving wife, Danielle MacLeod (Caletti) and his amazing son Connor Chaos MacLeod, his mother-in-law, Betty Caletti (Wood), numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a village of friends who he called family. He is preceded in death by both of his parents and his father-in-law Daniel Caletti. He will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made to the MarinFosterCare.org and select “Friends of the Family”. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Elks Lodge of Petaluma at 2:00 p.m.

Such a painful loss in our lives and family. Can't believe the pandemic exacted this terrible toll at its tail end. Kerry will never be forgotten. I have so many great memories together - from trips with Jaqueline to visit Mark, to Sawyers and countless parties and family gatherings. Always teased him that he's not respecting his uncle enough (despite less than a year in age difference :-)). And of course he was always quick to tell me that it's called deodorant and I should try it sometimes! :-))).

Have been thinking of the family, Danielle, and Connor, every day and praying that some form of comfort and assurance of being together again remains. Kerry was such an outstanding , funny, and warm hearted person. I always felt lucky to have such a cool cousin, despite the distance. Hoping all the great memories, life lessons, and love that were shared with him will keep him close by until you are reunited again. Wishing we could make it down for the memorial, but please know you are in my thoughts, and my heart goes out to you deeply.
