Our heartfelt condolences for the pain you suffer with the loss of the love of your life. Kerry was many things to many people and will be sorely missed by all in the Pickle Barrel family & friends.

My family of six have had a serious PB habit for nearly 40 years and it sure won't seem the same to come in and not see here there once in a while. When my oldest son, just turned age 14, came in asking for a job, she was impressed with his wanting to work but politely declined his request. Packing him a consolation sandwich, she sat him down at an outside table and explained in a most kindly Motherly fashion how she was proud of his work ethic, but concerned that such a young employ could be unduly influenced by the older somewhat rowdy college age employees and thought it best he not be exposed to such influences quite yet. As a parent, I though that very astute, and even a bit thankful for her insight. (He grew up to be a fine young man AND a ski bum but the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.)

RIP Kerry. You were admired by a lot of folks in our community.

When our son, John Firth, first moved to Bozeman, she not only hired him to work at the Pickle Barrel, but inspired him to work hard, study hard, and be a kind person. During his illness she looked after and out for him, and extended her warmth to us. Ken, you both hold a special place in our hearts. I am so glad I spent time with Kerry & Ken this summer- there are no words to say that express My Loss or feelings We were not close in miles but have always remained close in heart - I loved her as a sister.l

We are terribly saddened to hear of Kerry's passing. We lived three blocks from Pickle Barrel and over our 30 years in Bozeman were continually blessed with her smiles, her enthusiasm, and her energy. The world has had to say goodbye to a real gem.

Ken I am so sorry to hear about Kerry. I learned so much from her and you, and always look back at my times and great memories I have from working at PB. Kerry was in many ways a second mom to me when I worked at the Pickle Barrel. She had great advice, insight, and a heart of gold.
