Joseph T. Brutosky, 67, of Sugarloaf Twp., died Saturday afternoon comfortably at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Hazleton, Oct. 26, 1954, he was the son of Joyce (Kraska) Brutosky, Sugarloaf Twp., and the late Thomas Brutosky. He was a 1972 graduate of West Hazleton High School, and took home study classes toward his profession.
Joseph was a self-employed land surveyor and professional engineer for 28 years. He was a member of St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church, Sugarloaf Twp. He loved to gamble with his wife at Mount Airy Casino, loved watching sports especially the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, loved playing golf, and enjoyed hunting and camping and being outdoors.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of the past 46 years, Donna (Kistulentz) Brutosky; daughter, Melissa Moran, her husband, Shaun, and their children, Jacob and Lillian, Sugarloaf Twp.; three sisters, Elizabeth Brutosky; Denise Sterenchock and her husband, Thomas; and Jacqueline Podlaski and her husband, Frank, all of Sugarloaf Twp.; brother, Jeffery Brutosky; two nephews, David Ferko and his wife, Sarah, and Alex Sterenchock and his wife, Crystal; niece, Megan Sterenchock and her wife, Jocelyn; and rescue dog, Pugsly.
His funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church, 573
Route 93, Sugarloaf Twp. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Weston. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A Christian wake service will be held Tuesday evening.

My sincerest condolences to Joe's entire Family.
I've interacted with with Joe many times on various projects over the Years and always found him a to be a pleasure to work with. He was a credit to the Surveying Profession and will be sorely missed by the local Surveying Community.
